What To Expect
Preparing for your vein disease consultation at iSpine Clinics
It is important to complete all of your paperwork prior to your appointment at iSpine Clinics. Upon scheduling you will receive electronic paperwork to complete and return to us so that the information can be reviewed in advance by a physician. If for some reason you were unable to complete your paperwork prior to your appointment, you must show up 30 minutes early.
- If not, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time
- Bring a valid picture ID
- Insurance card
- A Complete Medication list
- Calendar to set up future appointments, if needed
Vein Consultation Appointment
- Check in 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to ensure all paperwork is completed and in order.
- Clinical Assistant staff will measure and record your blood pressure and weight, review your medication list and talk to you about why you are being seen today.
- A Doctor will see you next and obtain your history related to your pain and conduct a physical examination.
- An ultrasound technologist may scan your leg(s), to help your doctor determine if you have venous reflux in your leg veins.
- The doctor will work with you to finalize the plan of care.
- Before you leave, we may schedule any necessary follow-up appointment with iSpine, discuss the prior authorization process for any recommended procedures with iSpine, and arrange for any referrals to outside resources.
- The Provider who referred you to iSpine will receive a copy of your visit note for this and all future appointments.
Vein Consultation Appointment
iSpine Clinics offers simple, minimally invasive treatment options to help patients experiencing CVI. After an initial consultation, patients experiencing venous disease are often required to follow a conservative care plan (such as wearing compression socks) before being treated with one of the following conservative procedures:
If it’s determined you have more severe vein disease, blockage or compression, you may be referred to another provider for care.
